Basic Tips for Freeze Prevention
KEEP HEAT ON! If traveling for an extended period of time turn thermostat down not off. 60 degrees should be plenty to maintain the pipes. Make sure garden hose is disconnected from Spigot. Add insulated cover as additional protection. Leave cabinet doors open, especially against exterior walls. In areas prone to freeze, leave water run. A small trickle (a small stream not a drip) should be enough to prevent freeze.
Sump Pump Reminder
Fill pit with water monthly to make sure it works, if not call the management company for a work order request!
Reminder to Pick-Up Trash in front of doors
Remember that only trash within the trash can provided by the City of Columbus will be picked up. If you need to arrange a bulk pickup please contact the city at 614-645-3111, the service is free.
